Investing in the Mongolian real estate

Abstract

Superior investment opportunities in Mongolia's post-Soviet real estate market are of late attracting a lot of attention from investors. However, entering the market without a proper appreciation of its risks can be a financially devastating and knowledge of the ground situation is not always easy to come by. We investigate the risks and challenges of real estate investments in Mongolia using secondary information sources, as well as through the lens of a successful firm, Make A Difference Investment Solutions LLC (MAD). On top of educating investors on the challenges facing real estate firms and the strategies that firms are employing to overcome them, we also examine the reliability of using secondary research to monitor investments in Mongolia.
