Abstract: In Singapore, numerous studies have documented the short-run underpricing phenomenon of initial public offerings (IPOs). The objective of this study is to do an empirical study on the short-run underpricing phenomenon. In addition, hypothesis testing will also be carried out to see if there is a significant variance in the extent of underpricing between the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) Mainboard IPOs and Stock Exchange of Singapore Dealing and Automated Quotation System (SESDAQ) IPOs.
