Abstract: This project first traces the developments of the employment structure over the 20-year period from 1973 to 1992, giving due consideration to the Singapore development strategies and their impact on the employment structure. Related to this study is how the various industries have contributed to the total Gross Domestic Product and consequently affect the employment structure.
