Issue Date: 1995
Abstract: Despite the increase in the number of women in management over the years, these women still tend to face many problems and hindrances in the pursuit of their career. Thus, the main objective of this applied research project is to identify the problems and hindrances facing these women, both in the organizational context and the domestic sphere. In addition, it intends to find out the coping mechanisms adopted by them to cope with these problems. As there is a keen interest of the project team on the topic of women in management and a lack of local literature written on this issue, it is hoped that the findings of this project will not only enlighten the team but also contribute its part in generating awareness among Singaporeans on the topics of women.
