Abstract: The nonlinear interaction of finite-amplitude sound waves is a phenomenon that is encountered both in air and underwater. In this thesis, nonlinear interactions of acoustic plane waves in an air-filled duct as well as ultrasonic beams in air are studied. The final goal of the present study is to apply the nonlinear interaction of ultrasonic beams in air to sound reproduction.
