Title: | Automated foton ring cutter machine | Authors: | Feeldy | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Machine design and construction | Issue Date: | 2004 | Abstract: | Foton ring cutting is one of the sub-processes in the electronics packaging process, in which the excess tape around the periphery of the foton ring is trimmed off. Foton Ring is a ring used to hold expanded dies to be used in Die Attached process in IC Assembly. The trimming of the foton ring's excess tape will be automated and factors such as productivity yield and safety will be of main consideration. The customer needs statement and the target specification has been used as guidelines in developing concept variants. Functional decomposition is utilized to divide the problem into simpler sub problems and the "morphological matrix" is used to perform systematic combinations. The concept is then selected from a list of available concepts by Pugh Concept Selection method. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/5700 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
