The impact of framing on sunk cost effects in business investment decisions.

Abstract

Our research stems from the objective of making the sunk cost effect more salient to managers through the framing of decision problems. We hope that this study would enable managers to be more sensitive to the manipulations of decision frames and consequently be less susceptible to sunk cost effects.
