dc.description.abstract | In Singapore, the retail banking industry is highly cost competitive due to the high rental and labour cost. Therefore, the distribution network must be constantly enhanced to remain cost effective. At the same time, banks must provide premium services to satisfy the changing needs of their customers. With the advent of retail banking technology, banking would no longer be confined within the walls of a bank branch. It would just be one of the several options for customers. All these factors would influence the future role of bank branch. | en_US |
