Abstract: The purpose of this research undertaking is to study and provide a basic framework for the design and implementation of an effective incentive scheme that is able to attract a competent pool of human resources, retain them and motivate them to their best capabilities. In addition, certain recommendations are made regarding the design and implementation of incentive schemes in an attempt to improve the effectiveness. We also included in our discussion some of the future trends in incentive scheme so as to provide a glance into the future. Specifically, this project focuses on incentive schemes suitable for engineers in the electronics sector.
