Abstract: In this study, our objective is to explore users' perceptions on the premise certain groupware holds in helping organisational workgroups achieve high performance. The groupware technologies are namely, E-mail /Bulletin Board Systems (BBS), Lotus Notes and GDSS. Past research have studied their impact on groups but often, efforts do not focus on the aspect of whether their effect on group processes ultimately achieve high performance. It is hoped that our study can take an initial step towards filling this gap.
