Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: It was 31st July 1996 when Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew said to Miss Phua Mei Pin, in reply to her fears of not getting a car and an apartment, "...there's no money in (English Literature) unless you are really good." Implicit in his words was that depending on the courses that one reads, one should have different job expectations. This motivates us to study the differences in job expectations of the undergraduates in two professional courses - the Accountancy and Engineering faculties.
