Abstract: It is of common knowledge that both business executives and academic researchers are interested in discovering optimal accounting control systems design for achieving improved organisational performance. As business environments become more competitive and exciting, it is of utmost importance for firms to implement a successful accounting control system so as to achieve competitive advantage. This research study is an attempt to increase our understanding of the internal design structuring of organisations as it relates to budgeting systems in particular.
