Title: Factors influencing bond issuance of the Singapore corporate sector
Authors: Pu Ling, Yong Xin Mei
Keywords: DRNTU::Business
Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: Behind the impressive covers of being one of the top financial centres in the world, we unveil a flaw in Singapore's financial achievements. What is lacking is an active domestic bond market. Despite the government's efforts to revitalise the bond market, it did not gain enough momentum to sustain activity in the long run. We then question the lack of primary bond issues by Singapore companies. What inhibits them from issuing bonds?
