Measurement of Singaporeans' health status using multi-attribute health classification system

Abstract

In view of the increasing health care costs in Singapore and other developed countries, there is a rising need for an improved population health measurement system, and in the re-evaluation of existing health care programmes. The need to measure health is however, not matched by the evolution of a reliable and well-defined health measurement system.
