dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this report is to provide a comprehensive review and analysis of four significant financial centres in Asia in terms of structure and regulations These four centres are Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Malaysia Our report aims to provide the layman with an introduction to these financial centres. These four centres have been chosen due to their prominence in the regional financial scene and their different stage of development. Japan, being the most developed , is compared to the developing financial centres of Hong Kong and Singapore as well as the emerging Malaysian financial centre. Besides a description of the characteristics of each centre, we hope to provide an insight into the problems and challenges faced by financial centres in their various stages of development. | en_US |
