Abstract: The impact of investment decisions on shareholder wealth has been widely documented both locally and abroad. This research builds on past research and examines the short and long-run effect of international investment announcements on the stock prices of companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) and the Stock Exchange of Singapore Dealing and Automated Quotation (SESDAQ) over the period from 1983 to 1990.
