Title: | Retirement planning - A study in Singapore context. | Authors: | Chan Min Lie, Lim Huey Kuan | Keywords: | DRNTU::Business::Finance | Issue Date: | 1997 | Abstract: | Singapore like many other fast developing societies is experiencing a change in demography. At the turn of the century, we are seeing a significant proportion of the working population approaching retirement. Singapore 's retirement issue is further complicated by the fact that there is no state pension generally available to retirees. Furthermore, retirement planning is a term that is relatively unheard of in Singapore. Although our economy has been well developed, our society is still relatively unaware of the issues concerning retirement. Studies have shown that many Singaporeans do not save enough for their retirement. It is in this context that we are undertaking this study on retirement planning in Singapore, in order to consolidate useful information on retirement planning. It is hoped that retirees who read this project will benefit from the knowledge gained in the Singapore context. | Description: | 165 p. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/57989 | Schools: | Nanyang Business School | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
