Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: The objective of this research project is to evaluate the effects of various driver and vehicle characteristics ( independent variables) on the number of accidents, the number of claims and the claim amounts made ( dependent variables). The results of this research can be used to determine what is a fair pricing system for insurance premiums which is necessary in order to attain equity among its policy holders. It would be unfair for a better driver to subsidise a poorer driver.
