Abstract: Environmental issues have drawn more and more attention in today's society. Noise pollution is one such environmental problem, especially in urban areas. Consequently, noise control techniques (both active and passive) received more interests than ever. Research shows that low frequency noise affects human health more severely compared to higher frequency noise. Due to the low frequency characteristics of the noise, passive noise control techniques are more costly in both space and economy aspects. These limitations create demand in many industries that require active noise control (ANC) solution.
