Abstract: Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) is an all solid electrochemical device to convert energy of fuels such as hydrogen and natural gas directly to electricity. The advantages of using SOFC include (i) improving energy efficiency, (2) emitting less greenhouse gases, (3) reducing dependence on politically unstable countries for supplies, (4) placing less strains on existing fossil fuel reserves and (5) is more reliable and durable than conventional equipment.
