Intranet and extranet as a logistics strategy

Abstract

There are many types of Internet based technology and 2 of the less common but of great potential are the Intranet and the Extranet. They present us with a tremendous promise to link up suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, transport companies and even internal customers and in so doing, allow companies to seamlessly share information and achieve logistical excellence.
