Abstract: The project proposes a layer decomposition sheet slicing approach for layer manufacture of rapid prototype parts form CAD models. The approach involves first decomposing3-D models into simpler sub-models. Appropriate layering operations based on standard commercial material ply and sheet thickness would then be used to layer the sub-objects.
