Abstract: Mobile devices in recent years have grown to become an integrated part of our lives. There has been a growing number of people owning these devices and to many of us, a mobile device has very much become a necessity. It is no longer a device merely for communication but a device that provides myriad number of functionalities to users via mobile applications. This project aims to design and develop a mobile application that provides online shopping services for customer. It allows customers to search for groceries to purchase as well as buying promotional items. This application enables customers to purchase in bulk with friends and neighbors via social network platform to reduce the delivery charges. Customers will also be able to share and comment on the purchased groceries with their friends and neighbors. This application also provides an interface for suppliers to manage their products and customer orders. It allows suppliers to promote their sales by sending notification to customers on the latest promotions. In general, the application has been developed successfully on the Android platform and has effectively enhanced the online shopping experience for users with its comprehensive functionalities and features.
