Issue Date: 2014
Abstract: This project involved developing an Android application for Omron device to help the elderly patient to track the blood pressure. To meet the requirements, the Android application provided the Omron user with some basic functions to record the data and some other functions like setting alarm to remind the user to take blood pressure on time. In order to analyse the image taken by the phone, OpenCV and Android NDK were used. After processing the image, the records was stored in database using SQLite. For the further improvement, this application can be modified and improved to adapt all the blood pressure measurement brands, not only for Omron. And for the recognition method, an open source OCR tesseract engine which developed by HP labs can be used.
