Title: Android apps of RFID tracking system

Abstract: Assets tracking has been successfully implement or in the progress of being implemented in many industries present-day. The advancement of radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies has enable the development of real time locating systems (RTLS) to overcome the limitations of GPS in indoor positioning. And with advance in mobile device’ technology, mobile device has now the same capability as mobile computer. Therefore, this project present the development of an mobile application that implement RFID technology on the currently most popular mobile operating system using off-the-self hardware and software components together with the accompanying backend system of web portal and centralized database. The implementation of these systems are described in this report. Some of the problem s and limitations found would be discuss. Some recommendation on the future development of this system will also be described.
