Title: | Development of mobile product sharing and search system (Part 1) | Authors: | Yong, Eric Shi Cai | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer applications | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | With the ever changing mobile technology, the demand for smartphones has outpaced the rest of the mobile phone devices market. Smartphones are changing the way we live our lives. Everywhere we go, we will have our smartphones with us. Smartphones can do many things and mobile app development has been blooming, with hundreds and thousands of new apps appearing in the app store each day. In the recent years, online shopping has become a norm for teenagers and adults. It is hassle free, and is much faster than going to a retail store to buy the needed item; most of the time items bought are also delivered to the buyer’s doorstep. Therefore is has become very popular and is a preferred choice of shopping for many individuals now. Also, there are individuals who wants to sell their second hand items but do not know where to start. The objective of this project is to improve on the existing Android application, Deals Interest, to enhance and improve on user experience for using the application. The application serves as a platform for individuals to share and sell their second hand items. The author will also improve and add new features by developing the backend API to provide a consistent platform for both Android and iOS applications. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/59199 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
