Title: | Hybrid signature | Authors: | Tan, Sok Ngee | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | Who are we? What do we seek in animal traits and characters? Hybrid Signature is an exploration of my interest in bio-art and the Human Genetic Engineering. It imagines and illustrates possible artificial evolution of human animal hybrids. Hybrid Signature reflects on the ways I, as a designer, imagine the breakthrough of science technology through paintings and illustrations by bridging the science and art disciplines. The artworks, presented in series, begin with the self-portraits and continue with illustrations based on the analysis of the choices of animals from conducted interviews. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/59424 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
