Abstract: Traditionally, accounting information is viewed as an important information content for explaining the movement of share prices. Research has shown that there is a correlation between accounting information and share prices. However the extent of using accounting information as a tool for predicting the share price movement is limited to the pre-report period. This given set of accounting information is subsequently taken over by another set of accounting information and becomes useless for predicting the share prices in the post-report period.
