Abstract: Children are drawn to role playing and the love for animals in nature. Giving them the chance to play as the animals is a way to strengthen their connection to the natural world. “The little big space: Rainforest” is an enlarged interactive storybook installation that aims to educate children regarding the importance of conserving the rainforest and natural environment. The narration of the story is illustrated in sequence on the panels. Each panel portrays different settings and animals of the rainforest. The layering of the panels acts as a source of discovery and revelation through the rainforest. The installation encourages children to play and interact with the piece.
