Title: | Glow | Authors: | Vuong, Minh Trung | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Animation | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | “Glow” is an experimental animation project that, as its name suggests, used light to create moving images. It’s a visual poem that borrows imagery from underwater biodiversity, in which various sea creatures morph and change their states, responding to the music. More than anything, “Glow” explores the possibility of bringing said imagery into the physical world and reconstructing them using the Procedural Lightpainting (PLP) technique. It also used backlit claymation as way of transition and transformation and also as a means to reinforce the tactile quality of the whole piece. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/59571 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
