Title: | Noel | Authors: | Ho, Grace Yuen Wai | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | John Doe is a game where the player acts as the main character who has lost his memory and subsequently traverses through a surreal world in a bid to get his memories back. The game is an exploratory, puzzle, 2D side scroller game. The game features dual character control, where the player will be able to play as both the main character and another sub character (the child) in order to get through various obstacles throughout the game to unlock memories. He wakes up with no knowledge of who or where he is. He looks around him, and sees a world washed in white. Not knowing what to do and with no choice, he proceeds onwards, hoping to find something that might be able to help him. He manages to scale the land without much of a problem, jumping and climbing past obstacles, until he comes to face a tall cliff. There, he encounters a child, who helps him out. He questions the child, but the child is cryptic, skipping off. He has no choice but to follow. The child calls him John, for John Doe. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/59576 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
