Title: | Cookanum | Authors: | Dai, Murong | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | Cookanum is an interactive piece seeking to embrace its participants and to immerse them in a sensory experience. The name is derived from Nautilus cookanum, an extinct mollusk sea creature that is one of the oldest in history. The shell acts as a “cradle of life”, inviting viewers to enter the core within the waves of the ocean and be one with nature. Participants are able to interact with Cookanum through a variety of sensors and experience visual, audio and even olfaction output to create the illusion of being immersed in the ocean. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/59578 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
