Abstract: This report aims to ascertain the adequacy of the public transport system in Singapore. Three types of public transport service are examined. They are the taxi service, the bus service and the MRT service. The degree of adequacy is measured by looking into factors such as accessibility, affordability, safety, satisfaction, crime and security of each of these services. Also, the impact of various legislative measures on the transport operators is examined in order to determine the appropriateness of these measures.
