Abstract: The main purpose of this report is to identify and analyze the various issues involved in Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) in the light of considerable interest generated with Singapore sc01ing a world-first in implementing the system on an extensive scale in 1997. The methodology employed for tltis project involves a review of literature and the collection and analysis of data relating to roads, vehicles and present measures like the Area Licensing Scheme (ALS). The fieldwork carried out includes participation in actual ERP trials open to the public and interviews conducted with ROY and PWD personnel.
