Abstract

Modernization has slowly desaturated the significance of traditional Chinese wedding customary. Yet these rituals are constantly upheld and enforced by elders, causing generational tensions with defiant young couples. The project provides a series of graphical elements that can be applied on any auspicious items pertaining to traditional Chinese wedding. It aims to neutralize both perspectives by fusing contemporary concepts with traditional wedding meanings. Most importantly, the project is a vehicle of cultural exploration rather than a means to an end.
