Title: | CMOS on-chip antenna design for Tera-Hertz RF/MMIC | Authors: | Ganesan, Vivek | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | With the rapid growth of big-data wireless for mobile applications, there is an emerging need to explore on-chip antenna design, especially in the CMOS process. Achieving high efficiency within compact area is the primary challenge for an onchip antenna. For example, the traditional microstrip antenna, popularly known for its compatibility with the design of radio-frequency and monolithic microwave integrated circuits, has inherent disadvantages such as low impedance bandwidth, low gain, poor end fire radiation and surface wave excitation loss with thick substrates. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/59981 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
