Abstract: Recently, several Malaysian counters on the KLSE were plagued with rumours. Some were subsequently denied by the companies involved but others were confirmed. It has become a rampant practice for investors in Malaysia to trade on rumours. The Malaysia bourse is now confronted with a serious problem - that of stamping out the abuse of the stock market.
