Title: | Two dimensional TiS2 based composites synthesized with metal organic framework | Authors: | Chen, Yan | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Nanostructured materials | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | Two-dimensional TiS2 based composite was developed with a metal organic framework (MOF) material. Such composite was synthesized by simply mixing TiS2 nanosheets with the zinc salt and ligand in organic solvent at room temperature. The influence of the reaction time, dilution and molar ratio of metal to ligand on the morphology of TiS2-MOF composites have been investigated. In addition to these three factors, the order of reagent addition and mixing was found to have great impact on the formation of TiS2-MOF composites. Herein, the morphology of samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Through a systematic examination, an optimum experimental condition was determined for generating products containing large TiS2-MOF thin films with smooth surface and a few residues (isolated MOF particles). The optimum sample was further characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for the study of its chemical composition. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/60170 | Schools: | School of Materials Science and Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
