JDF-based computer integrated printing manufacturing : system integration, process automation and customer service enhancement

Abstract

Employs CIM philosophy in the approaches to implement an efficient print-manufacturing environment. The CIM approaches adopted are vertically integrating the print management system with the production execution system, and horizontally integrating processes using digital job tickets transmitting job information across all production steps.
