Nearly two-fifths of all mobile phone users—close to one-quarter of the worldwide population—will use a Smartphone at least monthly in 2014. EMarketer speculates Smartphone adoption to continue on a fast-paced trajectory through 2017. Thus, with the increase in demand for Smartphone and efficiency of wireless networks, the demand for mobile applications has increased incredibly.Android is one of themost popular open source platforms that offer developers full access to the framework API’sso as to build innovative applications. The main objective of this project is to build an Android application that facilitates NTU users to find out where and what to eat in NTU canteens as well as identify nearby restaurants. The main features include a basic search function where user can search for location of a particular food in NTU. In addition, a review function was implemented for users to post their reviews on recommended food as well as view the reviews. Moreover, the application enables user to send message within the app and lastly, order food from individual store menu by adding selected dishes and altering the quantity of dishes to the food cart. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/60501 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
