Abstract: Production capacity optimization and expansion are of vital importance in many applications within businesses and other organizations. In this thesis, a production line that faces increasing demand, long makespan and product cycle times, high WIP and a lack of production capacity is examined. These problems are addressed from capacity optimization and expansion perspectives.
