Title: | Process improvement on vibration test in gauge production line | Authors: | Liu, Ren | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Manufacturing | Issue Date: | 2010 | Abstract: | This thesis describes the process improvement of vibration test in a gauge production line which consists of both electric and mechanical equipment for manufacturing complex products with low volume and high configuration mix. A new test method reduced cycle time and energy consumption by 95.2% and increased the productivity by 21 times for the functionality check on a three-axial vibration sensor. Meanwhile, a universal vibration jig which can hold PCB board of three different products facilitated the implementation of the new test method. Also, a design of experiment verified the test method and gave a corresponding specification limit under the test method. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/60588 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Research Centres: | Singapore-MIT Alliance Programme | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
