Title: Design of a real-time process tracking system in a production cell

Abstract: Company AFT needs a real-time process tracking system to monitor the key performance indicators (KPI) of its artificial lift gauge production cell to understand its production problems. In this project, six KPIs were identified, including inventory level, cycle time, overall production rate, utilization rate, first-time pass rate and process capability. A tracking system capable of obtaining relevant data was designed and programmed in Microsoft Access. The trial implementation had proven the functionality of the new tracking system. With regular data entry by the production team, the new system is able to capture important production parameters easily and display the information on a daily basis.
