Abstract: A great communication is an important interactivity in human society. With the advanced evolving technology nowadays, smart phone played an important role to make life convenient and efficient. With the wide variety of communication methods, smart phone allows people to access internet and retrieve information from everywhere, anytime. Therefore, information industry has becoming a rapidly growth industry that open up a lot of opportunities to business sector. Most of the success of one business place is depends on their location. Thus, location-based advertising is important to vendors to promote their business and build a closer relationship to the potential clients. Singapore is a developed country with holding variety of events everyday. There are community events, Great Singapore Sales, Pasar Malam, new opening shops happening almost every week. However, all these events business have been promoted in old traditional way, example like, flyers, TV, email, or radio. The advancement of smart phone nowadays could promote all of these events by just a simple application in smart phone. With the good use of location-based advertising, it helps to improve the business of the shops which are facing difficulty in economic depression. The final year project is a mobile android application, titled “Android Application and Server-Client Development”. This application helps to promote user’s events by flushing the SMS to their subscribers when they are within the range of location. In addition, this application could work in both sides, which the users can create their own events and promote their own shops or users could subscribe to other shops events. The application consists of subscribed events, location map, social media functions, and some photo sharing to enhance the usability of the application.
