Issue Date: 2014
Abstract: This project focuses on the controller design for tidal turbine drive system connected to a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). The analysis of electrical part of the tidal system such as PMSG, rectifiers, PWM inverters and entire control circuit is been proposed in the paper. The original intention of the project is to design control scheme to improve system performance and evaluate is through computer simulations. As the electromagnetic and mechanic parameters need to be obtained to analysis the stability as well as work efficiency of tidal energy system, a series of simulations are been conducted by MATLAB/Simulink.
