Authors: Teo, Eugene Hao Jun
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Wireless communication systems
Issue Date: 2014
Abstract: Incorporating technology with art, this project contains the development of a lamp composed of optical fibres, LEDs and speakers, all controlled by a mobile phone application. The application enhances the user experience through wireless communication between Android application and Arduino. The lamp offers users an option in the customization of colours and special modes of lighting effects. In addition, it also functions as a sound system. This report aims to provide a detailed documentation of the methodology adopted in the development process of the Android application, as well the challenges faced throughout the project. It ends off with a conclusion, where limitations and recommendations are identified.
