Abstract: This final year project is about using waste heat from air-conditioning system for clothes drying. This project is aim to study the performance of air-conditioning when using waste heat from condenser unit for clothes drying, and how to make the drying process more efficient. The working principle of air-conditioning was studied, and factors which may affect the air-conditioning efficiency were also discussed. Experiments were carried out to do testing and collect data. Calculations and detailed analysis about air-conditioning unit performance were provided. To make the drying process more efficient and applicable, the author designed four improvement plans for dryer to achieve this purpose.
