Title: | Bluetooth-based real time tracking and localization | Authors: | Shao, Hongxin | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Wireless communication systems | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | The final year project is about developing an iPhone Application to function as a real-time location tracking system. The Application adopts the relatively new Bluetooth Low Energy technology. Report begins with a background of problems encountered in daily life. An explanation is given to describe how the project outcome may work as a possible solution to the problems. Objectives and design scopes are then given as a guideline of this project. Literature review will allow readers to have a clear comparison of the similar technologies in the market. Detailed mechanism of project is provided for readers to have a better understanding of the project. Products and concepts are also introduced. Procedures in iPhone development and firmware modification are elaborated in details to provide an understanding in developing and designing the project. The project outcome shows a more detailed explanation of functionalities that the iPhone Application provides. Last but not least, some ideas of the future work are discussed. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/61361 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Organisations: | A*STAR SIMTech | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
