Title: | Impact of photovoltaic(pv) systems on singapore power transmission networks | Authors: | Xi, Bin | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Power electronics | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, provides most of energy to atmosphere and surface of earth, it has been harnessed by mankind since very ancient times using a wide range of ever-accelerated technologies. In the context of the upcoming energy crisis, due to the recession in the oil age, energy shortage and environmental pollution is expected to significantly deteriorate. In addition, environmental factors, such as global warming, will certainly significantly increase the pressure on all these issues. In this case, the rapidly renewable energy contribution to the global mixing. Currently, commercially viable energy, oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear fission, hydropower, geothermal and solar energy. Other renewable energy sources such as wind, hydro, solar power may be the contribution of Singapore's largest energy supply compared. Unlike fossil fuels such as oil and gas, silicon steel - known as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, the use of the sun's energy and put it into electricity, while emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is minimized. This paper aims to obtain an overview of an analysis of the impact of the solar energy on the load profile of a building such as HDB in varies circumstances in order to demonstrate the value and future usefulness of the solar energy as a primary green energy resources. The research has been carefully tailored in order to use the data to illustrate the impact to Singapore power grid by harvesting and utilizing the solar energy. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/61377 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
