Abstract: Today we are increasingly relying on using computing technology to make our life seamless. In engineering and scientific circles, technology is been used to simulate real life situations to gain in depth understanding of the subject and to make a more informed decision as to how a system or an object is going to behave with the given inputs and constraints. With that thought in mind, this web application was developed to simulate the behavior of LAN networks to provide students with more comprehensive understanding of the Spanning Tree Protocol and Virtual LAN. The underlying framework used to develop the web application, ASP.Net with C#, provides for the development of secure, scalable and secure applications. The web applications developed will allow users to remotely access the Lab exercise at their convenience, perform the exercise as many times as they want and develop a good conceptual understanding of Computer Communication Techniques. The application developed is extensible and customizable for the future needs.
